The Real County Courthouse stands as a sturdy 1918 Classical Revival structure built from native limestone, anchoring the town square in Leakey.

Constructed in 1918, the Real County Courthouse is a defining architectural landmark in Leakey. Designed by architect H. A. Reuter, the building features a Classical Revival style with a fortress-like facade. Workers used native limestone quarried from nearby Tucker Hollow, laying rusticated bands in regular courses to give the structure its solid, enduring texture. A stone pediment and simple cornice top the building, which received a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark designation in 2000.
